PROJECTS

Make Sense Campaign

Head and Neck Cancer Awareness campaign lead by our Prevention Officer aimed at promoting early detection and the necessity of cancer screening by dentists.

Every year, throughout the annual Awareness Week we post educational content on our social media platforms. These posts generate over 35,000 views every year and engage with new audiences. Building upon the Make Sense framework, EDSA has designed a project to facilitate patient screenings and awareness events at university dental clinics.

Mobilty Projects

The European Visiting Programmes (EVP) lead by our Mobility Officer give students the opportunity to visit other dental faculties in foreign countries for a couple of days or weeks with an educational purpose. Hosting dental schools set up a programme for foreign students which includes visits to the various departments of the university, sightseeing and a social programme.

Summer Camps

An extension of EVPs, summer camps offer the opportunity to exchange experience in various aspects of dental care. In 2011 the idea was to bring together dental students in an international summer camp to generate discussion and understanding across the dental health care field and furthermore to develop interdisciplinary skills and awareness of concepts in multidisciplinary and multicultural dental healthcare.
