ERO Plenary Session, Rome
European Regional Organisation (ERO) of the Fédération Dentaire International (FDI) beginnings date back to the fifties, to 1955 when a special commission for European cooperation was established as response to the request of some European member association of the FDI.

In 2004 ERO counts 35 member associations and has fixed as goal to help all European countries, 52 nations according to the WHO definition, to join the organisation.

ERO Plenary Session took place between 16-18 April in Rome, Italy. EDSA was represented by Emilia Taneva (EDSA President) and Lena Hosseinzadeh (EDSA Immediate Past President) who met ERO, FDI and CED (Council of European Dentists) Executive Committee members, promoting EDSA activities and projects. Several joint programs were discussed among which were the Dental Ethics Theme day, Volunteer Work project, Infection Control Manual. The EDSA participation during the FDI Annual Congress in Singapore was considered. FDI representatives were invited to join the upcoming EDSA Meetings in Helsinki & Bucharest. ERO Board member was invited to chair one of the scientific workshops during the 8th EDSA Congress in Bucharest, March 2010.
